February 17, 2020, is Family Day in Ontario
and for my Yarn Family, today is also Launch Day for our new website that each and all of us has, and have, been working on for a number of weeks. This all started with wanting to show, a bit more, that we're all about strategic engagement, and the pleasure we have with what we can give and get back from everyone in our yarn world. So this new website, still with the foundations of our previous website, is intended to build on our interactions with you, our customers, our supporters, of friends.
We are, of course, fully committed to local yarn shops, whether they carry our yarn or not, because they provide, or should provide, opportunities for social interactions that you can't get from large online suppliers. That's not us. We love interacting. We love getting to know our clients, and them getting to know us, and know that we will always try to exceed expectations, in both personalities and products.
Our new website doesn't have a store locator, because we want you to contact us and we'll help you find a store that carries our yarn near you, and, we'll even recommend other indie dyers we admire who are carried at stores that don't carry our yarn, because that too is strategic engagement and exceeding expectations. We'll feature stores in our blog and we'll post photos of what our friends have produced. We'll feature designers with whom we work to realize patterns, kits, and projects to enjoy.
Last year, we had a lot of fun with The Year Of Knitting Dangerously: a monthly kit with a virtual travel experience to five locations, ending with a mystery project with five extra skeins participants got. This year, Robert, has plans for a different kind of engagement adventure that we'll announce shortly. For now, a huge thanks for being supporters and let the enjoyment we share continue.
